Julieanne has been cooking since the age of 4 when her mum taught her to cook through a book called 'Floury fingers' by Cecilia H Hinde published in 1969. At the age of 11 she entered a competitiion called, junior cook of the year, and got to the regional finals. focusing on her education it was not till her late teens that she started a role as a confectioner and baker at a popular high street supermarket, going on to work full time and raise her family with her loving and supportive husband.
On completion of her PGCE (post graduate certificate in education) with a specialism in design and technology, she went onto teach graphics and then in her second year as a qualified teacher, became head of food technology at an all girsl school, where she went onto develop pupils skills and their passion for cooking.
Later in her career when taking break from teaching, she went onto being the cook in charge of the staff restaurant for a different supermarket chain, creating delicious and nutritious foods. For the past 3 years she has been teaching food technology to pupils from primary to secondary at a SEN school with pupils who have moderate learning difficulties.
